Is there a roster size limit?

We do not impose a roster size limit?

We travel, can you schedule us for late games?

Each year, we review the teams and take into consideration traveling teams.  We do our best to keep from having travelling teams play early on Saturday, but this is not guaranteed.  There are travelling teams in nearly every bracket and not all can be accommodated.

Will I play against teams from my own league?

We take team location into consideration when we do scheduling and do the best we can to avoid same-league in preliminary games.  However, it depends on bracket format and is sometimes unavoidable.  Final games are determined by preliminary outcome rather than schedule

Does every player need to check in?

Yes, every player must check in individually to verify identity.  We use wrist bands to identify players that have checked in and are eligible to play.   Wrist bands will only be issued to a player upon check-in. To expedite Check-in, players should have their identification ready before approaching check-in. A player may check in any time prior to playing, but at busy times it could take up to 30 minutes. There will be a check-in Friday night, and all Saturday.

Location

Legacy Sports USA

I need additional players, can you help?

We have started free agent lists.  They will appear in each bracket and will hopefully have players that would like to play in that division.  A team manager can invite them to play on the team and pick them up if they are still available and interested.

Free Agent players must be US Soccer affiliated registered or purchase a tournament event pass

My player isn’t coming until Sunday, can they still play?

If the player has been listed on the roster prior to the registration deadline, they may still check in for the team and play.  Once the registration deadline has passed, additional players may not be added.

Do I need to purchase a tournament pass?

If you are unable to produce an affiliation document, you will need to purchase a tournament pass.

Like previous years, this is a US Adult Soccer Association sanctioned tournament. All players are welcome to join the tournament, but they must be a USASA affiliated member or register with a purchased tournament pass. The reason for this is that our insurance requires all players on the field to be affiliated in order for the insurance to be valid.

If a player plays in a regular season for a league that is affiliated with a USASA organization, such as Arizona State Soccer Association, or New Mexico State Soccer Association, etc., that player would already be an affiliated member and would not need a tournament pass.

What do I need to upload for an affiliation document?

An affiliation document is anything that proves that the player is USASA affiliated.  The preferred document is a player’s pass.  Many electronic systems allow players to download their own player pass from their league. It could also be a photograph of a physical player’s pass.  If you do not have your players pass, check with your regular team manager or your league.

Does the coach need a wristband?

A coach will be issued a wristband that matches the team wristband.  The wristband gets them free entry into the park.

What if I lose my wristband?

The tournament charges a $10 fee to replace a wristband.  This is to prevent players/coaches from removing their wristband each night. Wristbands are specific to the team. There are a limited number of each color/pattern wristbands available for each team.  If the few extras are gone, the player may not be allowed to play.  The park may also charge an entry fee to a player without a wrist band.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances, especially injuries, roster defections, player availability, etc. can occur. Teams should also plan for the unexpected and understand that the scheduling process starts weeks and sometimes months before the tournament is to take place. When this occurs, it is still the team’s obligation to notify the tournament director that they will not be participating.

  • No refund shall be given if a team withdraws within 30 days before the start of the tournament regardless whether or not a replacement team is found or the schedule is posted.
  • A refund minus a $250 administrative fee shall be given if a team withdraws on or before the 31st day prior to the tournament.
